My stay at the Villa was exceptional. Anita is the name of the lady that runs the Villa, and she is absolutely lovely. There is also one housekeeper that looks after the rooms in the Villa, who is also very sweet. I stayed in one of the small apartment/studios in the Villa (I was on the very top floor) and it was so clean and comfortable inside. Overall, my stay felt like a wonderful home away from home, which was especially important as I was traveling solo. The Villa is in a perfect location with restaurants all around, close to a beach and beautiful for walking along the ocean-front. The Villa is also super close to the bus stop which takes you direct to the Old Town. If you like walking, then walking to the Old Town is also easy to do - I did it, and it only took 30 mins (it was about 5 kilomoters walking). The best part about the Villa is that it is affiliated with the very beautiful "More Hotel" just down the road, which is an amazing benefit. I visted Hotel More for dinner one night, and it is absolutely gorgeous with an amazing beach, bar, and restaurant facilities.

Property is in a great location away from foot traffic around Old Town. You can get the bus to Old Town but we found these were crowded so opted for the convenience of Uber (€10 to Pile Gate). The promenade is a very short walk from the property, and this was a nice place to spend early mornings and evenings. There are some really nice restaurants nearby - Pantarul was exceptional and Mango’s was very pleasant, to name a couple of them. Anita was very helpful during the booking process and check in. We didn’t require much support during our stay, as the room was very clean and comfortable - I hadn’t slept that well in a long time! Some guests came in a little later and made some noise, but it was peak season, didn’t last long, and there was nothing really the property could have done to prevent it. The pool isn’t essential when there are so many spots to relax near to the sea, but it was nice to have. It was useful to chill there for an hour or two and read a book on a sun lounger. Bathroom was very clean and fitted with a modern shower. No complaints at all.

We had an amazing stay in Dubrovnik, and it all started with our wonderful experience at Villa Filaus. Anita, who checked us in, went above and beyond to provide us with valuable information about the city. Her warm welcome set the tone for our entire trip. Our room was nothing short of spectacular. It was not only beautifully designed but also impeccably clean. We couldn't find a single fault during our stay. The attention to detail was evident, making our stay truly comfortable and memorable. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Dubrovnik, and Villa Filaus exceeded our expectations in every way. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting this city.

Knowing how busy Dubrovnik gets, I decided not to be in the bustle around the old town, but somewhat outside with easy transportation. Property is right at Post Lapad bus stop, with 15mins service to Pile Gate. The neighbourhood has many residential buildings surrounding the Villa grounds, which shield from noise. There are many restaurants options very close-by and a store across the street. My ground floor room was spacious, very comfortably equipped with quality fittings and a balcony. Anita, who manages the property and Blanka who looks after the logistics, could not be more professional and helpful, sharing any information needed to make a smooth stay.

Cyril

This was a great experience from the moment we were greeted by Anita at reception. Rooms are very large and well equipped. You can catch the bus to the old town with a 4 minute walk to the stop. If you buy the Dubrovnik pass to walk the wall and see the museums, it includes your bus fee so great deal. It is a close walk to lots of restaurants and a very nice beach. Check out the cave Bar down at the beach.
